Facts and Figures of the 2011 Fiscal Year
In 2011 the Kärcher family enterprise has again succeeded in achieving above-average growth, creating numerous jobs and increasing its market shares worldwide. The global market leader in cleaning technology has achieved the highest turnover (EUR 1.7 billion) as well as the most number of units sold (8.25 million) in the history of the company. Innovative and sustainable products developed entirely in line with the needs of Kärcher’s cus- tomers are a major factor contributing to the company’s growth. One central aspect is the reduction of energy consumption whilst increasing cleaning performance. Over the past year Kärcher has brought over 100 new products onto the market, including the user-friendly scrubber- driers B 40 and B 60, hot-water high-pressure cleaners with energy saving eco!efficiency settings, wet and dry vacs with efficient filter shakers and unique accessories for high-pressure cleaners. In 2011 the company was also involved in environmental conservation, and it supported numerous charitable, social and cultural institutions in a number of countries. Kärcher is a partner of SOS Children’s Villages and member of the UN Global Compact Network. Kärcher has made use of its own technology and expertise to contribute to the maintenance and cleaning of valuable monuments, such as the Loreley open air theatre in the Rhine Valley and the top of the N Seoul Tower in the capital of South Korea.
