 How do I start my pressure washer?
Article Note: These are general instructions for starting an electric and gasoline powered pressure washer. Please refer to your owner's manual (www.karcher-manuals.com) for specific instructions for your exact model of pressure washer.

Electric models:
• Attach garden hose between water supply and pressure washer.
• Attach high-pressure hose between spray wand and pressure washer.
• Turn water on.
• Depress trigger on spray wand to purge any water or air from the unit.
• Depress and hold the trigger on the spray wand to relieve any built-up pressure within the pump and continue to hold the trigger while switching to the “ON” position.

Gas models:
• Add the proper amount of oil and gas into the engine. (Refer to the engine owner’s manual for filling instructions and proper grade of oil and gas).
• Cut the tip off of the yellow oil plug located on the top of the pump to allow air to vent through plug. (select models only, refer to your owner's manual)
• Attach garden hose between water supply and pressure washer.
• Attach high-pressure hose between spray wand and pressures washer.
• Turn on water.
• Depress trigger on spray wand to purge any water or air from unit.
• Regulate gas line to allow fuel to enter the engine. (select models only, refer to your owner's manual)
• Regulate the choke to allow air to enter the engine.
• Turn the engine switch to the “ON” position. (select models only, refer to your owner's manual)
• Depress and hold the trigger on the spray wand to relieve any built-up pressure within the pump and continue to hold the trigger while pulling the engine start cord.
• After starting the engine, regulate the choke back down to the closed position to close off the airflow to the engine.
