Answer
Very simply, you will want to run clean warm water through the detergent tank and siphon tube. This helps prevent any soap residue from collecting inside the detergent tube and pump, and will help prevent future problems with the detergent system. We recommend that you flush out the detergent tank/siphon tube at the end of each job, before stowing the pressure washer.
If your pressure washer has a detergent tank, simply 1) fill the detergent tank with water, 2) attach the Vario Spray Wand with the "MIX" setting selected (on electric pressure washers) or attach the black detergent nozzle (on gas pressure washers) and 3) press the trigger gun and spray until detergent no longer comes out of the nozzle.
If your pressure washer has a siphon tube (but no tank), simply 1) fill a clean bucket with fresh water and insert the siphon tube into the bucket, 2) attach the Vario Spray Wand with the "MIX" setting selected (on electric pressure washers) or attach the black detergent nozzle (on gas pressure washers) and 3) press the trigger gun and spray until detergent no longer comes out of the nozzle.
Make sure to use an environmentally-friendly, biodegradable pressure washer detergent, such as Kärcher's SoapPacs, to avoid damaging your pressure washer. Running solvents or bleach through the detergent tank can permanently damage the pressure washer and will void its warranty.
