Cleaning a Boat or Trailer

Prepare Area:

Remove the boat from the water. If running water is not available, connect Kärcher’s Water Suction Hose with Filter to the pressure washer’s water inlet. This will allow you to use a nearby lake, pond or bucket as a water source for your Kärcher pressure washer. [Warning! Never run saltwater through a pressure washer!]

Apply Detergent:

Attach the Detergent Nozzle and apply Kärcher’s environmentally friendly All Purpose and Vehicle Cleaner detergent to one side of the boat and trailer, working from the bottom up. Allow the detergent to soak for 1-2 minutes. The detergent will break down oily film residues for more effective cleaning. [Note! Do not use detergents in any area where runoff could affect wildlife.]

Power Clean:

Attach the 40° nozzle and clean the boat and trailer from the top down in a side-to-side motion. Kärcher’s Soft Clean Wash Brush Kit or Rotating Wash Brush Kit can help safely remove heavy soil or salt deposits. Use the Dirtblaster™ Rotary Nozzle to power away extra stubborn algae or barnacles. [Warning! Avoid lingering in one spot to prevent the Dirtblaster’s powerful jet from damaging surfaces.]

Rinse:

Perform a final rinse using the 40° nozzle to ensure all detergent and dirt is removed.

For optimum results, always test a small inconspicuous area before starting a cleaning project with your pressure washer.
