Cleaning Gutters and Downspouts


Clean out gutters:
For best results, use Kärcher’s Underbody Spray Wand to clear away leaves and debris from gutters, working from the high point out toward the downspout. The Underbody Spray Wand attaches to the trigger gun on your Kärcher electric pressure washer.

Clear inside downspouts:
If downspouts become clogged, use Kärcher’s Drain and Pipe Cleaning Kit to clear the blockage. The Drain and Pipe Cleaning Kit is inserted at the base of the downspout and uses water pressure to propel itself upward, forcing out debris as it climbs. This accessory also attaches to the trigger gun on your Kärcher electric pressure washer.

Clean gutter and downspout exteriors:
Use Kärcher’s environmentally friendly Exterior House Cleaner detergent with the Soft Bristle Wash Brush to scrub away mildew, stains and dirt on the outside of gutters and downspouts. Use the high-pressure setting on your Vario Spray Wand (1) to rinse washed gutters and downspouts and to wash away any loose dirt that may have splashed onto the house.

Tip:
When cleaning overhead, we recommend wearing a hat and goggles, rain gear or other protective clothing.

(1) If your Kärcher pressure washer came equipped with a Quattro-Nozzle Spray Wand, use its high-pressure fanjet setting for similar results.

For optimum results, always test a small inconspicuous area before starting a cleaning project with your pressure washer.
