Cleaning a Boat or Trailer

Prepare Area:

Remove the boat from the water. If running water is not available, connect Kärcher’s Water Suction Hose to the pressure washer’s water inlet. This will allow you to use a nearby lake, pond or bucket as a water source for your Kärcher pressure washer. Warning! Never run saltwater through a pressure washer!

Apply Detergent:

Use the low-pressure setting on your Vario Spray Wand (2) to apply Kärcher’s environmentally friendly All Purpose and Vehicle Cleaner detergent to one side of the boat and trailer, working from the bottom up. Allow the detergent to soak for 1-2 minutes. The detergent will break down oily film residues for more effective cleaning. Warning! Do not use detergents in any area where runoff could affect any wildlife.

Power Clean:

Using the high-pressure setting on your Vario Spray Wand (1), clean the boat and trailer from the top down in a side-to-side motion. Kärcher’s Soft Bristle Wash Brush can help safely remove heavy soil or salt deposits. Use the Dirtblaster™ Rotary Spray Wand (3) to power away stubborn algae or barnacles. Note! Avoid lingering in one spot to prevent the Dirtblaster’s powerful jet from damaging surfaces.

Rinse:

Perform a final rinse using the high-pressure setting on the Vario Spray Wand (1) to ensure all detergent and dirt is removed.
