Cleaning Awnings

Clean out gutters:

Using the Vario Spray Wand’s low-pressure setting (2), apply Kärcher’s Exterior House Cleaner detergent to the awning working from the bottom up. Allow the detergent to soak for 3-5 minutes, rewetting as necessary to prevent the detergent from drying on the surface. The detergent will break down any oils or surface film for more effective cleaning. Note! Be sure to test the detergent on an inconspicuous area of the awning before general use.

Clear inside downspouts:

Using the Vario Spray Wand’s high-pressure setting (1), clean the awning from the top down in a side-to-side motion. Kärcher’s 4-Piece Extension Wand will make it easier to reach high awnings. The Soft Bristle Wash Brush will help remove stubborn stains and heavy dirt accumulation.

Tip:

Warning! Keep any high-pressure washer nozzle at least 8” away from fabric awnings.

(1) If your Kärcher pressure washer came equipped with a Quattro-Nozzle Spray Wand, use its high-pressure fanjet setting for similar results.

(2) If your Kärcher pressure washer came equipped with a Quattro-Nozzle Spray Wand, use its low-pressure detergent setting for similar results.

For optimum results, always test a small inconspicuous area before starting a cleaning project with your pressure washer.
