The following guidelines apply to these pressure washer models only:

Initial Use of your Kärcher pump
All Kärcher pumps ship with oil already inside direct from the factory. There is no need to add oil.

Pump Inspection
Prior to beginning any pump maintenance, you should make a visual inspection of the pressure washer's pump. If you notice oil leaking around the pump seals, you should take the pressure washer to a Karcher-authorized service center for repair. If the pump looks normal (no oil leaking around the seals) you may proceed with the pump maintenance described below.

Pump Maintenance
For maximum pump life, change the pump oil after the first 50 hours, and then in 100 hour increments. Oil maintenance for all models listed above should exactly follow the steps below.

Kärcher recommends the use of multi-grade 4-stroke oil that meets or exceeds the requirement for API (American Petroleum Institute) service classification SH, SJ, or equivalent.

Oil Type (SAE Class) : 15W-40
Amount : 360 ml / 12.17 oz.

It is highly recommended to use Kärcher oil (6.288-050). Use of an incorrect type of oil could void the warranty and cause damage to the pump. Note: Running the pump with a low oil level can cause pump damage.

This pump oil must be changed by an authorized Karcher Service Center.

Please dispose of used oil in a manner that is compatible with the environment and is in compliance with local ordinances. Kärcher recommends that you take used oil in a sealed container to your local recycling center. For more information on a local recycling center in your area, please consult the website Earth 911.

Please do not throw used oil in the trash or pour it on the ground or down a drain!
